Today is slack day, but i have to admit its not the only day that i slack.

Check this vid out. Its a song by THE KILLERS for the European music awards. Super cool! Especially the whole stage effect, was so enthralled by it.

Cant believe Britney spears won 2 awards. But hey, its good for her therapy. Heal britney heal.

Plus, that Womanizer song is kinda getting into my head. Hate to admit it but i think she's doing not too bad for a once crazy bald headed woman.

Kanye west came out with his song love lockdown and my silly sister said it was him cuz the guy;s head was way too square, but it was him!!! We only realised when Estelle came out and sing American boy. My oh my.

Talking about my sister, i kinda miss her now that she's back in the land of the maples. Didn spend as much time i wish i could with her when she was back last week cuz of idiotic exams.

Her brief return made me realised how much i missed those times when we just talk crap and do silly stuff. Now that exams are gonna be over, i really wished i had my sister here to enjoy it with me. But she half the world away.

Heard that my dad is growing fatter! Ah dad, i thought canada wont have keropok so you would lose weight!! And i heard my sis is the one doing the housework (surprising!) no wonder my dad is growing fatter.

And dear little sister took my precious camera with her back! AHHH i am camera deprived! I just got it few months ago and now its gone!! gone!! :(:(:(

Well there's no turning back at this point.
Just gotta know that all i've done so far can well equip me for the terror.
So like what i always say during these stressful moment.
"Just do your best and (really) God will do the rest"
It's not to calm me down and suppress that anxiety (although it does have that calming effect) but really it just reminds me to entrust this A levels to God as he has plans for me.
Timo msged me this verse yesterday which i felt was really helpful especially during this stressful times.

"But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be given unto you"

F1 was really fun. We get to go and get paid!! :D Are you green?

"Official programmes" our motto for these 3 day. Hot sun, sweltering suana kiosk, parched throats, weird people, drunk people that didn know their place, nice people who bought the programmes even though they didn intend to, love the jap tourists, eeew the singaporean kpos, die-hard fans, crazy gianormous stacks of cold hard cash worth $21000. But it was lots of fun! Took a lot of breaks (sorry eme and hoong for taking so many :p). Our stall was the best selling stalll! Partly cause of our good location and good sale tactics! haha, also to our best seller, Eme. Our bosses were so proud that they gave us 60+ boxes of 25 bags to sell the 2nd day. We almost drowned in the mountain load of boxes! There wasn't even much space to stand inside.

Exams is around the corner and school is finally out.
The prelim's stress is really getting to me and sometimes i feel so helpless of what to do.
But whenever i feel like this, this verse always keeps me going.

No Time To Blog

The Madness of prelims is really getting to me. Everyday i'll be freaking out about prelims but i dont seem to be doing anything about it! Ah, so frustrating. One moment i'm super charged to embark on my crazy mugging, and the next i'm slacking like no body's business. Ahhhh.... ughhhh....

The past few weeks hadn been productive. Weekdays are so short, by the time i get home, i can hardly get any work done. Weekends are kinda filled with activities these past few weeks ( SAJC dance concert, FOP, farewell dinners...) Finding time is like finding a needle in a haystack.

Yup, today is the day.. when my daddy and sis leaves. I feel kinda lost and empty, but at the same time i know its just a matter of a year and very soon i'll see them again. But today on the way home with mom in the car, i had the impulse to wonder if daddy and sis are back home and whether they would want some of my frappe and egg tarts. Lucky i didn, if not mummy would have felt the same way i did. Well, its just the 2 of us now.

Life is such a paradox. On one hand, i want time to past quickly so i'll be over and done with my a levels. But i also want it to go slowly, so i can appreciate and enjoy the company of my friends. "Get a life? Hang out with twenty-five!" True that, true that. National day period was really fun. We got a little high during celebrations in school (running on stage to support mr loke in his.. ahem...singing jkjk.. and laughing at danielle making a 'ooops' on a commonly used singaporean slang, which i kinda do not wanna mention here or she'll come and han tam me. After that we all went to watch The mummy: Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor. Ohh and the cool crew transformed into the red hot chilli peppers crew for the day. Some of us went to Danielle's house the next day. Boy, was it amazing. We were all like whoaaaaa... and could stop gaping at the awesomness of it. And Benji is way way way cute! ahhhh cant stop cuddling him. We 'studied' in the kitchen, yes the kitchen. It's super cool, as in literally cool, with the build in function of lowering the temperature kinda cool, youknowwadimean. And what's even cooler is the cool thing in the fridge which is like ice cool cool, namely BEN AND JERRY'S!!!! OMG OMG OMG. Haha. Glenn was like hogging onto one tub all by himself, you selfish freak!! But Timo managed to snatched it away and i went along to enjoy the steal. It was not enough, OBVIOUSLY! so danielle opened another, which vane and i ate from. ohhh my mama, damn it was good, i feel like i'm in heaven. I tried some of dan's jap curry with rice, it was good! haha i wanna learn how to cook too!! feel so lau pok sometimes.

i realise this post s really weird, like some emotional rollercoaster ride. so pardon me for that. ahhh feels good to blog after such a long while. ohh and for the tagging of the quiz, as u can see i'm not really a fan of that and it takes me ages to complete one, but' i'll ty my best.

I finally said what i wanted to say to xuan, i think i took this long just to do this cuz i kept trying to find the prime opportunity where the setting was right, the tone was right. But i realise the most important thing was none of the above but the content that i was going to say.

I'm glad i finally did.

At least now she knows how i feel and not from others but from me. I wouldn say everything is perfectly fine between us, cause there's still much animosity between us. Reading her blog, i find that she misunderstood me in a lot of ways, i can defend my case here but I'm not going to cuz i know its hurting her and i'm kinda worried for her health. Things are not going to be the same anymore, but i'm just going to try to make it better. Hopefully time will heal the wound. I've been told that i'm naive but i'll still give it a try. Not going to let this be a regret that i will carry on when i'm older. Hope and faith will be my angels from now.

Throughout these few days, i did a lot of thinking and buckets of tears poured. I realise what xuan said was true, that we will learn from this and grow from it. I looked through my old diaries, remembering how i always let the problem go by and not wanting to deal with it, thinking just by ignoring it and it goes away through time, everything is gonna be fine. But not this time. I told dan that i'm not going to take the easy road by just letting this friendship slip by. This time i'm gonna face it and deal with it, even it is difficult. Dan said i lacked the courage, and its true, i did. So from now on i'm just gonna be brave.

This has given me a whole new perspective on friends. From now on, i'm not gonna keep things bottled up inside. Settle the problem directly. There's this saying, solve the problem with your brother before the sun goes down ( or somewhere along that line). I'll always remember this lesson learnt, thanks to my good friend xuan that taught met to see this through a hard way for both me and her.

Where does the cool crew go from here, i dont know. Just looking at pictures brought back so many memories, making me laugh and cry at the same time.

How did it become like this?
I wanted to tell right from the start, but i didn know how to.
I'm not very good with these situations and truthfully it takes a lot for me to share how i feel deep down, and all i wanted is for the gang to be the way its always been.
But the very thing i tried so hard to prevent just happened.
It sorta backfired on me. The very situation of secrecy and compromised trust that i did not want to happen, just landed on me unknowingly and unintentionally.
I didn mean to keep it a secret, it was just something that i will tell soon but finding the right opportunity was difficult.

Reading her blog just killed me inside.

I really really did not know all that was happening. If i knew, i'll definitely went and do something about it. But i always thought she just needed time to cool so i gave her that. I wish i could just have turned back the hands of time so that i would have done things differently if i'd known. But who am i to predict the future?
The things she's done for me i really do appreciate them. Like how she's always looking out for me and reminding me things, cuz due to my nature i would have totally forgotten .
Sometimes when my friends hurt me, i'll just swallow it up and after a while i'll be ok. I hate confrontations thats explains why i dont usually flare up. I remember the question that why do i not get angry, and this is my answer. Once i have cooled down, it'll just be a thing in the past, deleting the grudge born. It takes a lot to even say this bit.

I want to make things right between us and i'm not going to give up so easily. I'm just holding onto this glimmer of hope that all of would too.

WEll actually the entire day.. but i cant help but to fiddle with my new VAIO notebook.
What an untimely buy, but still thanks Dad!

Some stuff that happened this week..
Watched The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
Its GOOD i tell you... all except one bit.. the part where the movie malfunctioned and ended abruptly when it is so obviously not supposed to.
The movie jammed and the people in it talked funny.
Some idiot actually thought it was deliberate!
I would kill the people working at BISHAN J8 GOLDEN VILLAGE (in caps so all would know about this lousy service they offer)
but it is just nice for a desperate toilet break.
Well, they manage to get it working properly, however they started from way beyong where we left off. Ugh now i dont get to see the full film.
Danielle watched it earlier than me, and she was debating that caspian looks better. Erm... he has a weird accent and greasy dull black hair. I thought Peter looked better, but i was quite irritated by his character in the movie.

Went to school for touch rugby!
Just to take a break from the minimal studying that i did. (just an excuse lah)
I was supposed to meet Joo and study at 7.40am. But i ended up talking to Janelle and Eme too.
We played some weird games. (hey those who pass by... take note)
But it was quite fun ( though i think i might have pulled a muscle cuz of that)
Then, we head down to the lush-green-but-squishy-field.
Sorry joo, i didn know that the boots weren suppose to had water in them, i guess i was so used to mine being soaked that i thought it was normal.
We played against coach's friends and the J1s.
It was quite funny playing against coach and friends cuz they were always doing weird stuff, like dancing around or doing their crazy expressions.
And the J1s managed to score against the coaches! not bad not bad.

The rest of the week was spent at AMK library!
I realised something.

My productivity is decreasing with each passing day.
I need divine intervention if this continues on.
Ohhh yea, and i cycled to AMK lib on thurs!

I finally got to do it after much contemplation.
Well, i borrowed my grandfather's bike and off i went.
It was acutally so much less scary than i thought.
Well, it was not exactly what my "dream cycling" would be but its close enough.
ohh ya, and i tell you i almost died cycling uphill (cuz you see my house is at the bottom of the hill, and i got to cycle this uber long continuous relatively steep hill)
Parked my bike and get down to study.
Was kind of lazy to cycle home after hours of mugging. But the journey back seemed shorter (do you realise that going back always seems faster?)

And the spongebob helium balloon hannah gave is so freaky, cuz its half deflated now and its travelling around the house BY ITSELF!
The next few days will be so lonely without my mom dad and sis in the house but maybe i can mug better...

Touch Rugby Camp 08

Touch Rugby Camp 08

Finally got to post about camp!
Camp was great, despite having to train( i know its a training camp.. so that means we have to train but i thought the seniors could slack off a bit.. i was so wrong!!)

1st day--
I was so excited for "The Very Amazing Race"
We put in much brain jucie into this so its natural to feel excited.
I'm in charge of the haunted toliet! yipee
quite paradoxical actually, cuz i'm scared of the dark ever since young but i'm given to be in charge.
A good chance for me to conquer my fears.
We had to tape up the sensor in order to keep the lights switched off, which obviously none of us were vertically enabled to do it.
It was quite dark already when we were setting up, so you can imagine its really dark in the ulu toliet... freaky
Placed red candles around to light up the place.. but the eerie vibe it gave... shudders..
Audrey was quite scared already lah.. poor thing..
Painted the mirror white bloody red paint. My masterpiece! (show you the pic later) Splashed the sink with red paint and deco with eyeballs...
Aud eme and i were suppose to hid in the toliet to scare the j1s. Aud was under the sink, eme sitting in one of the cubicles and me in another.
The last cubicle was a bit eerie... the door is stuck and you know about ghost stories and the last cubicle...
Mine was like the nearest to it.. so OBVIOUSLY i'm scared. haha so i got hoong to join me!
The 1st group of J1s were scared the shitz out of them. I was in locked in the cubicle playing scary noises from the ipod. (some of the noises kinda scared me too)
The 2nd was scared but not as bad as the first and the last was like not scared at all.. cuz there were like so many ppl in the toliet!! When i came out, i saw matthew, ningjia, xiaowei sitting on the bench... aiya.. no wonder not scary already.
ohhh ya charis and bernice came to join me (imagine 3 ppl squashed in a cubicle)
Charis and her hair! She was just standing on the toliet seat with her hair down.. gawd that is scary! (also to be shown later)
After our stint was done, we went down to ka chao the j1s who were still blindfolded.
Shi Min (haha a girl with my chi name) was hilarious... I think it'll be too mean to blog about it here but if you wanna know come find me!
Anyway, i wanna thank the toliet ppl ( Hoong, Eme, Aud) and Vane for making the haunted toliet a success! and also braving with me in that god forsaken place.

Day 2--
Last night slept really late so the next morning we all were like zombed out.
Had morning run, which was freaking crazy 2.4 km!
The last part we had to sprint, and i think for some psychological reason, i felt like puking... it was super funny lah, and too embarassing to say.
Training under the hot sun was so draining.
Had lunch.
Then training again. But we played some games first! Played jacob's ladder and the stockings game! OMG that was so funneh!!
Coaches made us sleep at atrium... for everyone passing by to see! Throw face.
And had fun making fun of us while we're sleeping. They tickled my feet and like some knee-jerk reaction my leg went up. too bad didn kick them...:(
ohh ya and one of the forfeit was to wear the stocking on the outside ( way cooler (figuratively) than superman i'd say) througout training... poor janelle eme and aud...
Lucky training was in the atrium if not we'll be burnt toast by the end of the day.
The girls point out something intriguing to me, that i always end up sitting nicely whenever i fall. I also dunno how did it happen by it just do. Well, at least i'm spared a bruised arm or scratced knee.
At night we had senior's farewell!
Love the J1s to bits!!!!! They prepared so much GOOD FOOD for us. Mei kwee's parents are good man... love the spagetti and the cocktail drink!!!
We had this game where you had to do some dance and teach the next one and so on... Janelle is the dancing queen i tell ya, her steps are high level k! dont mess! But it ended up like totally different!! haha
Eme another high level dancer. Some crazy step she conjured up which i had to follow!
The J1's also prepared a video for us! And OHH EMMM GEEEE lahhhh, almost every slide had my freaking face!!! what is my face doing up there!?!?!?!??! i wanted to bury myself and die!!!! Hannah, this beloved j1, asked me for pics and practically put every pic that i took on the slide!! ohh my mama... I'm scarred till this very day...
They made this really cool cookie shaped as a rugby ball( where do you normally see oval cookies!!) and a certificate which they actuall got mr quek our principal to sign!! and sadly a cd with the video slide that they made...( its not that i didn like the video.. i really did... just not any of the slides with my face)
Ohh ya, and in the game of musical chairs, there was a forfeit to do a rap. Janelle did her, "the sky is blue and the grass is green" touch rugby rap, which was SUPER hilarious. And the coaches did "the book is on the table",OMG that was off the hook i'd tell you!

Day 3--
We are officially Zombies!
Vane and i were like sitting at the first row, right smack in the centre of the LT, and we dozed off like nobody's business. I'm so ms joey poh say us lah, but thankfully she didn say anything, i do feel so guily though.
ohhh ya and we played captain's ball for morning exercise! yay! way better than running.
Had training again... we kept doing 3 ups and then eagle for the whole time. matthew was not pleased with us. Finally he laid the bomb on us by making us run uphill at the office block. I tried my best to sprint, but sprinting uphill is as though as jogging on normal ground. he kept making us sprint like numerous times, and its like never ending. And when i thought thats the end, there was more. We had to do like 50 FREAKING MAN's position push-ups! Like WTH! I was dying like nobody's business already how to do that!?! We all struggled through, bending our arms to the minimal it can go and managed to complete it. It was so tough that some broke down.
During lunch i just downed gallons of liquid and felt so damn full... the bobo chacha was superb though but i could go for seconds, due to my overflowing belly...
We had friendlies with NJ, TJ, MI and RP(mainly coaches' friends, LKK)
We managed to draw with NJ! OMG, we never done that before. The firs half they beat us 2-0 then it started pouring, so we stopped the game, when we came back we leveled it up to 2-2! amazing right!!! ahhahahaha

The camp ended off with a BANG!
The J2's did our "wah so sissy" and "wah so sexy" cheers!
the J1's did their rendition of "the book is on the table" rap
and the coaches did their "the book is on the table" rap with a lil twist... a hip thrusting twist... ahhaha that got all of us quite red in the face.

The weekends was so unproductive.

This procrastination problem i have is getting SERIOUS!

I went to lib to TRY to study on sun.. but i ended up studying like 6 pgs of econs for like 4 hrs!

But something good came from that lib studying was i did some "shopping"!

if you call pasar malam a shopping centre! haha

I was like a kid in a candy store.

Maybe all these shopping-deprived months made me this way.

Everything was so cheeeeaaappp!!

Anything that was SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS drew my attention.

I ended up buying quite a couple of squarepants stuff.

Tomorrow is the camp!

I'm so stoked!!!

Cant wait for the first night... heh heh.

I'm a bit worried i cant complete studying everthing in time...

if this procrastination thing persists on,

boy am i in trouble...

i'm getting distracted by everything, from tv to story boook(sad its not my studying books) and guitar...goshhhh...

I feel quite a failure as a daugther sometimes.

There's so much things about my father that i dont even seem to know about.

Millions of opportunities to chat just slip by as i go on with my oh-so-hectic life.

Anyway the times when i have a good conversation always end up with my trying to bring my point across and getting all worked up.

The saddest thing is that I learn more about him through my CE class in church which he conducts.

Today during the class, he shared how he felt God's presence during one seminar, which happened not too long ago. Why didn't he share it with me at home?

He also shared about his childhood. What he went through when he was young as a small kid.

It's not that he didn tell me anything about him or that i have a bad relationship with him, cause we're pretty fine.

But i feel that there's so much about him that i don't know. And i want to know cuz i could learn so much from him still.

I don't know about the sons and daugther's out there. But i feel that the older we get, we seem to think we know a lot and what our parents say don't carry as much weight as they do before.

I guess why i'm feeling this way is also because my dad and sis are leaving for canada soon. Absence makes the heart grow fonder is very apt in this case. Not that they have already left but i am thinking in the future sense when they have already left. Kk i'm just being technical here but you get the drift.

Maybe from now on i'll learn to treasure those opportunities more.

I just bought a dress online and it came in today.
It fits just right, phew. But its a little short, need to find a way to lengthen it or pair it with something.Online shopping is FUN! I dont mind purchasing more stuff and i've already got my eye on quite a lot of things. Ahhh but i dont wanna get too hook cuz i stay online too long browsing. But this is a really good way for ppl like me to buy clothes when you're always out of time. Arm chair shopping they call it. Actually i'm not sitting on an arm chair, just a normal chair, but that works. ok i'm just talking nonsense here.

OOooohh OOoooh i found out something super weird but really funny today.
Gawd when i heard it, it got me in stitches.
It's like really coincidental, that seems so crazily unreal.
And the whole thing is so silly that i just cant stop laughing.

Monkey Hands

Haha. Timo and Yingxuan tagged me for some answering questions thing. But I'm too lazy to do!!! KK ... i will do soon. I'm just too lazy to type.
Anyway i read timo's blog about how having 0725 people around can make jc life so much better, and i gotta agree with that. I think i'll just die of boredom if not for these crazy ppl that never fails to make me laugh into fits and go all red.

Here's what happened today:
I was going to photocopy chem pract ws so i asked keefe and glenn if they wanted. Glenn made it so confusing so i ended up not printing for him. Then, he said he wanted a copy too. So he took mine and went to photocopy and returned it back to me.
Little did i know he gave me THIS! 2 GIANOMAS, OUT OF SHAPED PRIMATE LIMBS.
I was unsure at first, not certain if i accidentally took the wrong paper, trying to figure out this queer situation. Then i heard Keefe laughing uncontrollably behind. I just knew who were the culprits.

Then had meeting for touch rugby camp proposal. I'm so excited for the stuff that we've prepared for the J1's. I think i better not disclose too much just in case they see this.
Had night study after that. But i wasted so much time trying to get info out of darren and glenn that i hardly completed much. UGH. i wanted to finish probability, which is long long long way overdued (as now we're going to poission).

I NEED A RADICAL CHANGE. A REVOLUTION!!! I don't wanna go on with my laid back, slacking ways of last year. I was almost on track during blocks, but i'm losing it again!!! Someone slap some reality into me b4 its too late.

Giselle in the park
This dance was based in the medival era so you get to see lots of traditional type of ballet dancing. The beautiful lines they create are so poised and elegant. The half bent of the pointe shoes, the seemingly everlasting air-borne moments, the flawless lifts and the willowy skitrts just draws me into their world.
It's really nice to watch a ballet performance after not dancing ballet for a year plus already. It really reminds me how much i missed dancing. I really start to doubt my decicsion for stopping cause now its just so hard to get back.
Bev and I brought a cute lil picnic basket along. It's really sumptuous. There are ham and egg sandwiches, mushroom-cheese sandwich and mangoes as a dessert. Yum isnt it?

We were bored during intermission.

The lead dancer, Xia Hai Ying, who danced as Giselle. She was really good. She was practically dancing the whole 2 hours.

Ohh ya at the end of the whole performance there was a lucky draw prize presentation of a $600 watch. So anticlimax!

I feel kinda good taking a while off from studying on mon to go out and run some errands with dad. Its been way too long since i felt this way about my dad. Much of last year was spent quarelling with him about my results and getting frustrated for not being able to do the things is wanted. And about the irrational idea of leaving s'pore. Well, i still disagree with quite a no. of the things that we disagreed about. But i guess he did see the change in me. It almsot felt like the way we were when i was younger. How i missed those times.

Physic paper was not as good as i wanted. Well, i guess cuz i didn really prepare it well yesterday. It's really hard to concentrate on the last paper cuz i'm just sorta in the play mood already.
After Physic paper xuan and i went to watch Vantage point. It's not bad. Quite interesting how the story played out. Danielle joined us later and went to get this book for ms hazel. It's a really cool book which shows pictures that are the unzoomed version of the previous one. It teaches ppl to see the bigger picture, which is something like the movie, where you really get to know the full story if you see from different people's points of view.
Well, i've been quite stubborn about putting braces. My dad has been persuading me to put on and dentists say i should as my 2nd molars are hurting me. But i just blocked them all out cuz i was thinking of the inconvenience and the time and money spent on it. But now i finally decided to put it.
Well, today was fun. I managed to run some errands. Revisit one of my favourite toy stores. Trying to appreciate art( which is like so abstract to even comprehend). Learning tips on how to deal with ang moh guys. Shouted at by bell boy. Its just another plain old mudane day. But its this kind of days that i truly appreciate. How much more days like this am i going to have?
I'm beginning to realise how much more i appreciate things around me now. When you realise you're about to lose something, thats when you cherish it more.
I used to be a cynic on Singaporeanism. The Kiasuism, the not-so-classy-hawker centres, the coarse dialects, the ah lians the ah bengs... But recently, i've open my eyes more to these things and realise i might even miss it all when its gone.

Incubus and Naval base

YEA all the major papers of the block test are finally over.
I can finally breathe now.
Seriously the past 2 weeks were crazy. All i did was cram information into my head. Sometimes i even wonder if i was thinking at all. It's like i'm in zombie mode.
But i'm just glad its over for now. Till next week i guess.

INCUBUS CONCERT!
This was the friday before the march hols.
It was a BLAST!!!
I was there doing an ushering job. Paid $8 an hour. Sweet Geez. Ka-ching!Which i have yet to collect from Cass.
Anyway there was quite drama that night with Xuan, Kim and Cass.
We were in charge of doing the tagging, which was actually quite tricky cuz you cant do it too tightly or loosely and worst of all we had to do it at lightning speed.
AT first the crowd came, all jolly and excited. But when the music started playing they were frustrated cuz they thought Incubus was playing. Actually, it was Saosin (a guest band).
There were many people smoking while waiting to get let in. I think i breathed in my year's supply of smoke just on that night. Most of them held the cigarette on their right hand which was the hand that we had to tag. Unfortunately, one lady's cigarette butt accidentally came into contact with my skin. Ahhhhh it was PAINNNN. I yelled a bit and she was like apologising profusly. Well, it wasn't her fault so i said nevermind. But it hurt quite badly and there was like a bubble on that area for a few days.
After tagging, Cass's sis( who was the person in charge btw) asked the 4 of us to do sercurity at the sides to prevent people from crashing in. We were brought to the side where it was totally dark and there were tree braches hanging. Looking back at it, it looks quite freaky. But at that time i was scared. Good on you ashley, finally getting over the fear of the dark .. in a way lah. I was stationed at the very end where the tentage stopped. There were 2 guys that were trying to get in. I shined my light from my hp at them then told them to go off. Actually i was really scared inside, cuz they had tatoos on their arms and looked like they were drinking. He said something which i totally didn understand but just kept shouting over the music to tell them to keep out. They finally went off.
After a while, those 2 guys tried coming again. But this time they were little smarter. They went in through kim's side where there was a gap in the tent. One of the guy ran in and Kim gave chase. I ran after kim but i didn see there were actually 2 other guys still under the tent. After i left they actually ran in and got lost among the crowd. Kim actually managed to catch the guy and brought him back to the side. She kept shoving and pushing the guy( who was the same one with the tatoo) to get him out. Kim's the MAN man. Some of the people that were watching the concert saw and were amazed taht a girl could catch a guy. Kim you rock man! Go touch rugger!
Cass and i kinda slacked off a bit and wanted to get autographs from the band. Then suddenly, Yingxuan shouted to us that ppl were getting it. I turned to look and there were like 2 guys running in. So i went after them. The floor was really slippery. Kim fell first, then i fell(so embarassing), then she got up and chase and then i went after them. But i couldn find the guy cuz there were so many people. Then, i say kim, once again, shoving this crazy guy that kept on shouring towards the stage with his rocker hand sign. Actually i find this image quite funny. When we went back, i found out from yingxuan that actually a group of 10 actually crashed in. But there's so many of them and so little of us. It's not possible to stop all of them.
After that we went to the entrance again, where we saw Cove, the lead singer from Saosin. There was so many people crowding around him. But we managed to get our picture taken.

It was an action packed night. WE had our tags signed by Saosin memebrs. Too bad we didn get to see Incubus face to face. And i heard my fav song Drive. I was so totally drained out that all i wanted to do was sleep in the next morning.But i had to go to Naval Base Primary for CIP.

Gawd i was so tired, but i had to drag my sleepy ass out of bed. The touch ruggers were deployed at the skipping rope station. Before the sports carnival began, we were all fooling around. Some of them were doing skipping. Shah and i wanted to try so we held hand, looked down intently and JUMPED! OUCH! our heads knocked together. OMG it hurts like shit. Its quite funny though, due to our difference in height, her baluku was at her forehead and mine was at the top of my head.
Then, we played some volleyball. It was quite fun, until out of nowhere xiaowei hit the ball right smacked at my face!! Luckily, it didn hurt much. That day was an unlucky day man.
The kids there wre kinda chubb, but their enthusiasm really striked me. They went round after round of stations and just kept going. Whereas we the station masters were already complaining about our lethargy.
After that, they had dance and cheer competition in the hall.There was this performance by the red house. The kids were really good i must say. 2 of the boys came out and did break dancing. Then the last one came our and kept shaking his butt while going in a circle. I just couldn help laughing at that. Then, there was this other boy who was standing next to the side that we were sitting. He was up for his performace but he kept pointing towards our side and did the sleeping gesture because there was a NY girl sleeping. He seems quite indignant about it, like he was not going to perform unless he got everyone's fullest attention.

There has been WAY WAY WAY too many things that has happened over the last 2 months.
It's quite impossible to put them all in one post and all in one night.
But here's a quick summary...

Amist all these there were tests after tests after tests and tutorial after tutorials, which is still pilling like no body's business. Sad life ain't it?

Even though i'm spending more time studying these days i feel like its quite a waste of time. The time spent sitting at my desk is basically just rotting there and not much effctive work has been done. " Focus" " Concentrate" "Perservere".. How many times have i written this on my reminders, but they dont work their magic like they did last time.
Block test looming around the corner is freakishly intimidating. The amount of things to study is crazy. Ahh dont even want to think about it. Now, my dream of retiring in New Zealand on a farm seems so appealing. Maybe I should have a super advanced retirement?

Overwhelmed and drowning in a sea of tutorials and lecture notes, thats how i'm feeling now.

Exhausted. My body has been in overdrive for 5 consecutive days.
I'm so tired that i just plonk straight to bed. Not touching my homework one bit.
Touch Rugby trainings like almost everyday. Plus, Bball competition.

Bball competition was fun.
At first i was kinda reluctant to play, as i didn really know how to play a full court and there were so many rules that i didn know of.
Anyway, just wanna say good job to Danielle, Glenn, Martin, Weixun, Darren, Keefe , Javier and thanks Vane and Yin hau to be there to cheer for us!!

The RSN touch rugby tournament.
Girls, we did well.
Though we didn win, but we made a great leap of improvement since last year.
Cheers to kelly for her endurance through the whole day. My heart goes out to her when she fell not once but twice hard on the ground. But she preservered on and kept on playing.
And also to Shah for going into every game even though she was down with a cold.

I've discovered a new talent.
Throwing raisins into my mouth.
Janelle suggested that i join nanyang's got talent. haha i shall "consider"
Sun burned even though i had my SPF 130 sun block.
Its either the sun is too strong, maybe its due to global warming, or the sun block sucks.
The girls had a good feast that day, cuz in our normal circumstances we dont get to do that much. Anyway, its healthy to binge once in a while.

Till the next competition, we shall soar.

I couldn agree more. Even though i like C ronaldo and fernando torres, but i have to say soccer is kinda a rough sport.
I kinda admire my uncle and his rugby fraternity. They're from SAJC rugby team long ago and remain close friends up till now. The true essence of sportsmanship and team spirit is reflected so clearly there.

CANADA

IN CANADA

The first 2 weeks of my holidays was spent in COLD COLD CANADA.
Yup it was freezing cold.
The first few days i wanted to die. Plus, the horrible jet lag.
But, soon i got used to it and went SHOPPING!!!!!

Canada is really multi racial.

There were like so many asian people, like almost 50-50 ratio. It didn feel like as if i went abroad at all. But most of them were made of Jap, Koreans and Hongkees.

The first week was free and easy so we went school hopping and SHOPPING.
After that was a tour to the rockies!
The view there was breath-taking.

Here are some of the places i went:

Banff-- We took a gondola to the top of a mountain. It was so beautiful up there.
Then, we went to Banff town. The building were so old fashion looking, that it looks cool.

Lake Louise--
You see all the white we're standing on! That is actually a frozen lake. Super cool.
There were even people ice skating on it and playing ice hockey.
And i build my first snowman!!! yay!

The Last Spike--
This was the first time in this trip that i saw snow. Super excited.

Summerhill Vineyard--
Ohhh i love this place!!!!
I did wine tasting even though i'm underage to, be oh well my mom let le have hers.
The ice wine i tried was divine. It was so good! However, it was not cheap. One bottle cost like canadian $85. Luckily they sold it at the airport for $60 so we bought it! woot!

Michael scofield

You know i love michael scofield and all.

But i cannot help but notice that his hair never grows??!!

Take a look here:

Season 1- Michael has not gotten into prison yet. But look! his head is shaved perfectly for the prison life. Talk about being readily prepared. Well, but that look really works for him. I'd saw him once with his hair and all, lets say he look nicer without it.

Season 2: Now, Michael is on the run. A wanted man. And yet he manages to take a nice photo for his wanted man poster and have a good hair cut with the police trailing behind him. I'm sure his hair would have grown in season 1 while in prison, so he's hair should be at least an inch long. But great ol'michael is a miracle maker, he's managed to break out of a high security prison so stopping the turf of hair to grow is easy peasy for him.

Season 3- Here, Michael ends up in SONA, the most worst prison you can ever imagine, where the worse of the worse of thugs are brought here and policeman wash their hands of it. Trying to stay alive in there is a kind of lifestyle.Anyday, anytime he might just die at the hand of one of his fellow inmate. It is a treacherous world in there. But once again he did it again. That botak head of his remains as hairless since the day he stepped into prison.

NO more PW! (well at least for these 2 years)
Even though PW can be quite the bitch, but i have to admit, i did enjoy a tinsy winsy bit.
i guess that is largely due to my grp mates.
I have to say i'm glad i have these ppl to work with.
Althought we're not always the most efficient group, always leaving till last minutes, at the wee hours of the morning to do, it has been up to a certain extend enjoyable.

The past week has been crazy.
I think we all felt guilty for not putting all of our effort in the previous parts, so this time we chiong like no body's business.
Also, this might just be our last ditch attempt to pull up our grades.
We met up like EVERYDAY excepy thurs for OP, that includes sat and sun. gosh thats crazy right?!
Our base... either Darren or Weixun's house.
Its too tempting in their house.
Computer games everywhere...
Guitars lying around just prickling those itchy fingers.
Pillow fights... Gun shoot-outs... and other random stuff
It could a partly the reason why we took so long... oops

You could say our "hardwork" paid off a bit.
We didn ROCK the presentation, but we did fine.
i'm just glad to say to these ppl, Vanessa Darren and Weixun,
its been fun working with you.

life is so meaningless nowadays
why do all of these?
do they even matter?
i just wish i could stay on a homely cottage in the countryside of new zealand
without all those worries of an average city going kid
playing with those sheep can be fun, isnt it?

i really dont understand the concept of academics
it doesn really make sense to study so hard when in the end, it is not all those facts and senseless memorising will help you to go further in your career.
so why am i studying so hard?
for my parents?
for my future?

i did ok for promos, improved quite a fair bit from mid yrs
and i'm pretty happy about it.
but ok is not enough according to my dad
but i find myself getting so caught up in getting good grades
that i feel that i am missing out on the important things
i dont want to turn back and look at the 2 years of jc life
and realise all i have is just As and nothing else.

NSP ( night study programme)
for the past whole wk.. almost everyday i've been going for it!
i'm like spending more than 3/4 a day in school!
college has become my 1st home instead of 2nd
studying can be a drag but studying with good friends makes studying a whole lot of fun

this was one of the best camps that i went
i really learned a lot from it
i also learned a lot about myself in the process

being a leader is not easy
in this camp find that there are so many leadership styles
and to say which is the best is not possible as they are unique in their own way
i hope i can make use of all the lessons learnt during this camp and put it to good use not only in touch rugby but also in every aspect of my life

my facilitators, Hoze and Syimah, were great!
they really got me thinking... although sometimes i'm just too tired to think
and my teammates too...
at first we were just a mis-matched bunch of ppl
but after going through some rough patches, we came out stronger and more bonded.

LTC would be an experience i'll never forget!

the papers were tough and i feel hoorible about some
but nothing's gonna get in the way of celebrating the end of the exams

after the last paper, chinese, my girls ( vane, yingxuan, kelly, fiona, charis and ailin) went SHOPPING!!!
my sis found a warehouse for topshop and so we decided to go there
but it turned out the topshop season was over and now it was u2... ugh
but nevertheless, we just shopped there for awhile.

yesterday i had touch rug competition at YCK stadium
my very first touch rugby competition!!!
i'm so excited!!!!!!
we donned on our jerseys, bright bright yellow
boot up
and ready to go

when we reached there, we saw our other competitors
oooohs
now, the butterflies are starting to flutter
we just sat at the grandstand, resting..took some pics

soon we gotta do our warm ups
did some short runs, high knees, pop passes, defence work and mental conditioning
i felt we were so ready to take on our first opponent, ACS(int).
the game began.
we did our usual strategy of 3 punching.
the other team were given a penalty, i took the ball, ran as fast as i could, ran to the left where a huge gap was, ran passed a girl. i could score this. so i ran even faster. from the corner of my eye i could see 2 more girls after me, but one fell. i was at the try-line. down goes the ball. TRY!
that was exhilarating!!! felt soooo good!! whooo hooo:):)
but soon we got complacent, letting them score 2 easy tries
but we fought back and scored 2 more by xiao wei and kelly!
beeep and the game was over!

next up, a match against Singapore Poly.
we kept in mind not to be complacent and went all out
there was a big gap at my left once again, i got the ball from one of my teammates, and ran through tat gap. i was through and scored!yipeee
our team defended well as SP wasn given a chance to score after that.
we were through to the semi finals

some of the j1 touch ruggers came to give their support
thanks girls!!!
you guys didn just came to help out but also boost our morale! love ya'll

we're all pretty cross with the referees
they were so bias AGAINST us!
like we did something wrong against them or something..
they kept blocking our way in the game
and were more leniant tothe other team.
but we still won those games even with or withour their help

next we had a match with Jurong JC
xiao wei scored!! haha
she put down the ball at the try line and the jjc ppl said tat she didn touch the line
she was sooo fuming mad and started shouting at the ref to say she did out the ball down, it is just tat the ball rolled off the mark.
ref confirmed it was a try!! yays!! ahaha i even say thank you to the ref! ahaha
valerie scored too, but with a bit of price to come with it
her earring out tugged at and cost her to not only lose her earring but bled a bit.
but her sacrifice was well worth it!
WE'RE THROUGH TO THE FINALS!

our last game was against SA.
we told ourselves that this was our last and final game and tat we're got to win it. so that we can drink from that CUP!
we just got from a game tat the seniors played which was also against sa.
we wanted so badly to win the game against sa, not only for ourselves, but also for the seniors.
we defended, moving up on them as they came towards us.
when it was our turn to attack, we did our 3 punches
but the freakin ref kept saying we're off mark and issued a penalty
ugghhh
tat was harsh!
xiao wei and i yelled at the ref for the penalty.
he didn even warn us about us not backing and straight away issued a penalty.
i think another ref saw it and quickly came to help us out a bit.
but that penalty allowed sa to score as we were still offside.
that dealt a blow to our morale a lil bit
but we fought on
then, cheryl came towards my side from the centre.
she sidestepped, and ran towards the left.
i reacted but not fast enough, chased after her with all the might i could. but i was unable to gain ground to touch her.
she scored.
there was little time left and soon the game was over
we lost.
i was really disappointed.. i thought this could be the chance to really get back at all the bias referees, that were so unfair to us throughout the whole competition, and to win for the seniors.
the j2 and j1s gathered together ... and shared how we felt..
tears rolled among us as this would be the seniors last competition.

we went to receive our medals !
cool... my very first medal in jc!
we took crazy pics with those medals.(soon to be uploaded)
the seniors were so funny with the ideas they came up with
i guess i'm gonna miss them.
they were really gr8t ppl to be with, and was one of the reasons why i joined touch.
how will training be like without them?
i dunno... we're on our own now.

after today..
i havn even more of the determination to work even harder..
to improve as a team
so that the next competition comes
we'll all be many notches higher to take on any school that comes our way!

yingxuan was already with me as wehad tuition earlier
the ticketing was so problematic!
a lot of the theatres had their tics sold out
in the end we had to watch a later one and we sat right in front! omg
necks strained...and the screen was so near that i felt dizzy..
luckily my glasses came to the rescue
some caucasian boy kept rolling on the ground and running across the movie threatre...irritating but funny
ohh ya...ppl!! rmb to stay till the end...

today...went SHOPPING!!
yes!!! like finally in a long time
i bought quite a lot of tops and accessories!!
super stoked right now
alas, i dun have to see a depressing closet filled with clothes tat i dun wanna wear anymore
however the downside of today was that there wasn much sale going on as what i expected
but Zara rocked! i almost wanted to give up shopping and find a new hobby
but just as i stepped into Zara...my passion for shopping reignite.

EXHAUSTEDLY FUN

i'm really exhausted ...
ran so much today...
first ran during pe( the afternoon one some more)
ran 5 round for it...technically i walked sprint walk sprint...ran backwards even ahha...that was damn fun
then right after pe i had touch...
ran round the field for 5 rounds...today the pace was really fast...first round already panting
today, the coach was so much more siong....not like on tues' so slack
we had to do sprints across the field ...6 sets of it....
the first one i did was still fine...quite fun
den the second...pants pants.
the 3rd....pants pant pant wheeze
the 4th...head starts getting pain...more pants
the 5th....head even more painful ....ear blocks up..gone partially deaf...pants pants pants pants

then after that still had to do jogging and backpaddling

cuz it is not considered as going out a lot, since it only a day!

unfortunately...it is right after the day i promised my parents

so now i cant go out

time just zoom by when u're having a hell lot of fun
this holiday can be said one of the best holiays i've ever had...
and probably most treasured
anyways...
WHAT HAPPENED TO ASHLEY??
first there was prom!!
it was pretty crazy going shopping for like 5 consecutive days!!
but it was well worht it!!
stayed over in the hotel...and party all night
was too sleepy to eat mac' breakfast which was wad freddie wanted

bowling...swimming...pooling...BBQing

CHRISTMAS PARTEH
christmas is the best time of the year!!! my most looked forward occasion
i had a christmas party at my house
invited char fred and aruna
it was quite crazy planning and decorating 2 days b4
but i think it went alright
the door gift!!! hand sewn by us !!!
first the carollers came to spread some good cheer by singing christmas carols
den we had food!!! yum...
we played some games...but some small boys from my neighbourhood took the lightsticks!!! argghhhhh....was sooo maddening!!!!
but we manage to let the game go on!!
the after party was SUPER FUN!!!

haha...my idiotic cousin stole our water bombs
he threw it from the 3rd floor in his house and surprised attack on us!!!
even broke the lamp!!! orrr horrr
so we retaliated and went to my house's 3rd floor to water bomb him
it was hilarious cuz from downstair u could see 2 sides splashing each other..
well the adults had a good time watching from below while all of us were soaking wet
well not all of us...norman was still so dry!!
so its our turn to take revenge!!!
i hosted him with water while the rest grabbed onto him!

i couldn go into the water cuz of my wound so i sat wif stef to sun tan
i could feel the sun burning up my fats!!! ...like tat would happen :(
the rest played in the cool water

went CyCLING!!!!
been a long time since i cycled
freddie was struggling a bit but soon picked up rhythm
it was refreshing to cycle along the beach...with the wind in ur hair and the smell of the sea...it was GREAT

the chair lift was FREAKY!!!!

kept yelling and screaming

what an eventful day
yesterday my school had speech day
but b4 tat....many DRAMA happened
first was during P.E.
it was sooo frustrating.
i was made to run 2.4km again
the other time i ran alreadi and even managed to get a B
den cuz of some mix up the whole class had to re-run again
but unfortunately tat whole week i was sickso didn mange to run
asked ms yuen and she even say she'll juz take the previous timing
BUT....now wad.. i have to run again!!!! its sooo not fair
first of all i think it is soo absurd to re run when i already did
den if want to re run at least tell me earlier like right after i ran the other time
now i totally lost my stamina....and surely get D lah
argggghhhhhhh!

2nd drama...xiao xuan suddenly cried out in pain
we all thought it was gastric pain
and she was screaming and shouting and whining in pain
then she said it was cramps
some of us bursted out and laughed...
kinda mean...
but she realli looked comical....

we passed ms yuen's farewell present
she's gonna leave the school...:((((
so we gave her a EEYOR and a card...
and she liked it!! almost on the brink of tears

we had to keep singing and singing the skool song and hymn
and got some person from SMESA come and talk..take sooo much time
we realli had to rush
whaaa finally can go...i m starving like MAD...havn even eaten from morning till 1pm

took a bus to town...
1st stop: TOP SHOP
get christina's present( a realli cool NO.1)
2nd stop: eat LUNCH
starving man...my mouth just feltike eating when my stomach was bloated
ate GELATO!!!! yum...
stef char n i shared a four flavoured....(dark chocolate, lemon, hazelnut, tarfu)
it was heavenly...we all made some weird noises while eating it...haha
3rd stop: CHARME
eyebrow plucking again...2nd time
this time had 4 of us...
just our luck man..."the man" was there ugggg
met soo many st margs in far east ahah

on our way back to skool..
jay walked across the road and all the prefects got quite worried
wah..the whole bus was brimming with st margs girls...

had another rehearsal...ugggg
finally the show started
my body was sooo exhausted...slept during most of the talk
den came the prize presentation!!!
we're alll sooo ready to cheer...especially for GENIUS CHRISTINA!!!
when it was her turn we all "shhhhhhh"
"CHRISTINA, first in form, first in 3/6, elem maths priza, add amths prize, biology prize, physics prize, chemistry prize, combine humanities prize, tamil lang prize and scholarship"
when ALL of these were read out
all the catcalls and screams filled the air as my whole class cheered for her!!
i screamed until my throat was sore..
seeing the ppl who had got 6, 7 or 8 A
i feel so inspired to get it too... now i understand what ms siti said
i muz strive for it!!! and hope my class and friend cld get it too!!!!

after speech day
had to stack the chairs up lah
what...take us for free labour arghhh...
then we went to find christina
we gave her a card and the #1 badge

i am growing old!!!

today aruna spotted a white hair growing on my head

i'm soooo soooo sad....
i never dreamed tat i will hav white hair...at least not 16*a moment of silence please*
during recess i announced the sad news to the ppl
and a plucking ceremony was conducted
butttt
the person plucking didn give me ample warning
and i screamed my lungs out when yin pulled it out
and worse of alll
she didn pluck out the roots...

then after tat...
i oso dunno how tat happened
but freddie started telling racist jokes
(for the sake of not being arrested,
i shall not say wad it is)
it was soo super funnie
stef yin dawn char freddie and me were laughing until our face turned red and kept chokin and laughing and chokin...
den she told us another one...
ohhh man...tat almost killed me
den went to the lib
yin went to take a joke book
which wasn even funnie at all...juz lame

and all these happened right b4 o level listening compre
not the best thing to do b4 an exam
it calmed out nerves a little too welll

i almost lost touch of school this holiday

forgot wad it feels like

seems like i've never ever been there b4

but once again,
i get to relinquish tat feeling
the feeling of wanting to crawl back to bed...
the feeling of eating breakfast at lunch time...
the feeling of resistricting wadever i wanted to do...
is all coming back to me now

this second part of the year has nothing to look forward to
just thinking about it makes me moody
am i suppose to spend all my time studying???
is there time at all to play???
well, apparently not, according to my peeps and chers

however, as gloomy as my future may seem
i shall work hard
cuz exams are bittersweet
